Essential Oils Warning

Essential oils are very highly concentrated and potent and it is important to always check the specific safety data provided. Keep out of reach of children, the elderly, and pets. For external use only. Avoid contact with mucus membranes and eyes. If any essential oils have contacted your eye, wash out with a vegetable oil such as olive oil, not water. Some oils may cause skin irritation in people with sensitive skin. It is recommended to perform a patch test before use. To patch test, place one drop on the inside of your wrist and leave for an hour or more. If irritation or redness occurs wash the area with olive oil then cold water and do not use the oil.

We do not recommend the ingestion of essential oils except while under the care and direction of a qualified health practitioner.


Sun Sensitization Warning

Some essential oils, especially those of the citrus family, may increase your skin’s sensitivity to sun and UV light. If using these oils avoid sunlight and UV light exposure of the treated area for 12-24 hrs: Bergamot (except FCF, Furano Coumarin Free), Bitter Orange (Cold Pressed), Grapefruit (Cold Pressed), Lemon (Cold Pressed), Lime (Cold Pressed), Orange (Cold Pressed), Mandarin (Cold Pressed), Tangerine (Cold Pressed).


Pregnancy Warning

Exposure to essential oils generally should be avoided/minimized during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester. Later in pregnancy, use essential oils in half the stated amount. The following oils should be avoided all together: Basil, Bay Laurel, Cedarwood, Cinnamon Leaf, Citronella, Clary Sage, Fennel, Hyssop, Juniper, Marjoram, Mugwort, Myrrh, Nutmeg, St. John’s Wort, Thyme (white). During the first 4 months of pregnancy, Peppermint, Rose and Rosemary should be avoided. Please consult a qualified health care practitioner if you choose to use essential oils during pregnancy.


Candle Safety

Failure to Follow Instruction Could Result In Fire Hazard Or Injury.Keep Wax Free Of Matches, Wick Trimmings, or Other Flammable Materials. Keep Wick Centered And Trimmed to 1/8” To  Ensure Even Burning and Prevent Flames From Becoming Too Large. Burn Only On Stable Heat Resisant Surface For Not More Than 4 Hours At A Time. Keep Out Of Drafts. Discontinue Use When Only 1/2” Of Wax Remaind In Bottom. Do Not Move Candle While Burning Or If Wax Is Hot. Keep Out Of Reach Of Children And Pets. Never Leave A Burning Candle Unattended.
